White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders held a briefing today where she introduced two brave military heroes that President Trump wanted to nationally recognize.
Trump met these brave men during his visits to Walter Reed Medical Center this past year and was inspired by their stories.
After introducing and recognizing these men, Sarah took questions from reporters.
The first question, from Kristen at ABC News, was regarding the recent statement from former campaign aid Sam Nuneberg where he said
“I think [the President] may have done something during the election but I don’t know that for sure.”
Sarah smirks at her before completely shutting her down.
“I think he definitely doesn’t know that for sure, because he is incorrect. As we have said many times before, there was no collusion with the Trump Campaign. … I can’t speak to [Nuneberg] or the lack of knowledge that he clearly has.”
Sarah reiterates that Nuneberg does not work at the White House and so she cannot comment on why he may be refusing to meet with the Grand Jury but that President Trump and his administration is fully cooperating with the investigation at this point.
Clearly Kristen was hoping to catch Sarah off-guard as this news is breaking but Sarah knows that President Trump and his administration have nothing to hide with regards to Russia or the Mueller investigation.
